At 3143 meters above sea level in the Northwestern part of Vietnam, Mount Fan Si Pan - the highest summit in Indochina peninsula is located. It forms a significant part of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, which is a part of the Nui Lien Nature Reserve and encompasses approximately 30-km²of mountainous landscapes. The reserve contains temperate and sub temperate forests and provides habitats for a variety of plant and animal species of which, some are endemic to Northwest Vietnam.

Hung Vy Tours is specialized in organizing climbs of Fan Si Pan from two to four days depending on the individual needs and the fitness of the climbers. All climbs are led by one of our experienced English , French, Chinese speaking Vietnamese guides, a cook that will prepare tasteful and plentiful meals and our team of Black Hmong porters that will carry all the needed equipment - also provided by us. For your safety, our team is trained in first-aid and rescue procedures in the unlikely case of an accident.

We strongly suggest the three or four day climbs - unless you are very fit and eager to have some long and quite hard days of trekking!

The climb does not demand high technical skills of the climbers, but a certain level of coordination, fitness and endurance is essential before the rewarding view towards Laos and China is obtained!

Fansipan is almost 3143 meter above sea level. The risk for altitude sickness is very low.

    Trails conditions:
One of the things, which make Fansipan at challenging experience, is the lack of prepared trails. The conditions of the trails very much depend on the weather conditions, and will be slippery in rainy weather.

    Walking hours:
Depending on your route the walking hours can vary from 6 - 11 hours per day. Normally the summit day is long, with start early and return to the camp late afternoon.

There is only 1 prepared camp at Fansipan. All other overnight places are small, without any facilities.
    Sanitary conditions:

In one camp simple toilet facilities has been made.

We will provide you with the necessary camping equipment. To climb Fansipan we strongly recommend good walking boots or shoes. Furthermore a warm sweater and a rain jacket are necessary.

Our guide and cook will prepare delicious food on the way. We use ceramic filters to purify our drinking water.

As mentioned the trail conditions will be difficult in rainy weather. It is not recommendable to climb Fansipan in heavy rain due to security. If Hung Vy Tours believes that is the fitness of the group do not meet the requirements of the weather situation, we do have the rights to cancel or re-schedule the trip.

All people climbing Fansipan with Hung Vy Tours must hold a valid travel insurance covering at least USD ...

There will be at least 1 porters will accompany with 1 traveler. The luggage’s weight for 1 traveler is maximum 12 kg. The luggage must be foldable for putting in the waterproof bag.
